Chapin Rainbow Stage Location
In 1966 a great tradition was born in the town of Huntington: the Summer Arts Festival held its first concert on the steps of the Heckscher Museum. Since that time millions of Huntington residents have enjoyed concerts in the park, now expanded to a full season of performances by local and nationally known artists on the modernized Chapin Rainbow Stage.
Since 1979, the Chapin Rainbow Stage has provided a wonderful summer site for excellent presentations by Huntington’s local arts organizations. With the steady acquisition of more sophisticated lighting and sound equipment, plus backstage support facilities, the theatre has come to attract major professional entertainers, adding still another dimension of stature.
