HAC is proud to collaborate with the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law and Intellectual Property Sections and coordinating attorneys Elissa Hecker, Debra Resnick, and Rosemarie Tully. Offering individual consultations with arts and entertainment attorneys, the Clinic’s volunteer attorneys are prepared to discuss legal issues concerning entertainment, intellectual property (i.e. copyright and trademarks), licensing, corporation/incorporation, and collaboration agreements, organizational and corporate policies, among other issues.
Income-qualifying applicants will be taken on a first come first served basis. Consulting sessions will be 30 minutes in duration and will take place June 23rd, 2023 at The Agency, 299 main street Huntington, NY 11743. Appointment slots are limited and will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis by registration only.
Individual Artists Qualifications:
- Adjusted gross income must for an individual must be $58,500 ($117,000 filing jointly) or less on your last tax return to qualify.Please see line 1040, and line 11 for this number
- Must be available in person day of the services
Organizations (501c3) Qualifications:
- Organizations must have an operations budget of less than $250,000.
- First come, first serve for income-qualifying organizations
- Must be available in person day of the services
